secondary job switch - Guild Wars Forums

I've seen a lot of threads where everyone mentioned that you can switch your 2nd job.

Now ive done the quest and got myself a new job but how do I change it back without doing the quest for that profession.

Is there a NPC that can change it and where is that NPC?

You need to do the profession quest to switch back. That's the ONLY way to change secondary professions.

Yup, my elementalist has run all 5 of the change quests available to her. I've also changed from necro to monk, and still have the option to change back, or to any other secondary, from any of the 6 profession changers.

No, that's correct. You run the quest(s) for the secondary profession(s) that would like to change to. Then you have the option of switching to that secondary -- you aren't required to. While you have a certain profession as your secondary, you will have access to those profession-specific quests. Most, if not all, of them give you skills as rewards and are given by NPCs that share that class -- Nente gives Rangers quests, etc.

You can later switch back to your original secondary (or do you have to do that profession's quest? I'm not sure.) And then freely switch back to any profession that you have completed the quest for.

You will have to run the quest for your original secondary if you change from it. Basically, any profession you want to change to, you have to run the quest for. But once you've run a secondary quest, that profession will always be open to you. I thought the above quoted post explained it all, sorry if it wasn't clear.
